I’m Mila, founder of MIRU Interior Design, an interior design studio working in Marbella and across the Costa del Sol. After more than a decade working internationally in banking, I decided to turn a long-standing passion for interiors into a professional design practice.
That background continues to shape the way I work today: combining creativity with structure, attention to detail and a clear, considered approach to every project.
Now based in southern Spain, I draw on an international perspective and Mediterranean influences to create interiors that feel thoughtful, cohesive and individual.

After more than a decade living in the Netherlands—building international careers, raising our family, and exploring cultures around the world—we felt the call for change.
We longed for more light, creativity, and a stronger connection to nature. Southern Spain, where we once lived, studied, and met, felt like the perfect place to return to. Rich in history, culture, and coastal beauty, it offered exactly the lifestyle shift we needed.
Today, we’re based just outside Málaga, a vibrant hub for creativity, design, and expat life—embracing a slower, more intentional way of living.
