Interiors with Soul, Rooted in the Mediterranean Way of Life

INTERIOR DESIGN IN MARBELLA & COSTA DEL SOL

MIRU Interior Design is an interior design studio creating contemporary Mediterranean interiors in Marbella, Málaga and across the Costa del Sol.

We work across private residences, investment properties and hospitality projects, combining a strong design vision with a structured and practical approach.

Our interiors balance aesthetics, functionality and the architectural character of each property, with a focus on thoughtful layouts, natural materials and cohesive design.

We work in English, Spanish, Dutch and Russian, supporting both local and international clients.

OUR DESIGN PRINCIPLES

Every project is guided by clear design principles that balance aesthetics, functionality and a strong sense of place.

Our Design Process

We approach every project with a clear, structured and collaborative process. From private residences to investment properties, each project is tailored to its scope, objectives and desired level of involvement.

01 Initial Consultation

We begin with a complimentary 30–60 minute consultation, online or in person, to discuss your property, objectives, scope and overall vision. For larger or more complex projects, a site visit or follow-up meeting may be recommended.

02 Design Proposal

Based on our initial consultation, we prepare a tailored proposal outlining the scope of work, deliverables, estimated timeline and fees. This ensures transparency from the outset and a clear understanding of the project requirements.

03 Design Development

Once the proposal is approved, we begin developing the creative direction for the project. This includes mood boards, space planning, material and finish selections, furniture and lighting concepts, and detailed 3D visualisations. We work closely with you throughout this phase to create a cohesive, functional design aligned with the property, project objectives and overall vision.

04 Execution & Installation

For full-service projects, we coordinate the implementation from start to finish, working with contractors and suppliers, managing sourcing and overseeing deliveries and installation. Alternatively, we can provide a comprehensive design package for clients who prefer to manage the implementation independently.

Our Services

We offer interior design services tailored to projects of different scales — from complete, full-service interiors to focused consultations and online design.

Full-service Interior Design: Complete interior design from concept and space planning through material selections, sourcing, coordination and installation, available in Marbella, Málaga and across the Costa del Sol.

Mila helped us with both the layout and lighting plan for our new build home, and we are more than pleased with the results. From the very beginning, Mila impressed us with her creativity, professionalism, and attention to detail. She took the time to truly understand our vision and lifestyle, then translated that into a beautiful plan that exceeded our expectations. The layout plan she created flows seamlessly and makes every space feel functional, cozy and inviting. What truly stood out was the lighting plan. Mila’s expertise in this area is outstanding. She understood how light impacts mood, functionality, and aesthetics, and designed a plan that highlights every feature of the house perfectly. Mila also helped us to complete a document for the construction company where all electricity sockets, type of lamps and connectivity should be placed. We could have never filled this in correctly without her help! Furthermore, Mila was attentive, responsive, and a joy to collaborate with throughout the entire process. Her thoughtful guidance and innovative solutions made what could have been an overwhelming process feel exciting and effortless. We are so grateful for her help and dedication, and we cannot recommend her highly enough. We will definitely continue working with her for any future projects. If you are looking for an interior designer who goes above and beyond, Mila is the one to trust 🙂

Working with Mila was a great experience. She helped me a lot with the design of my living room. Mila is very friendly, always on time, and pays attention to every detail. Her moodboards are unique and full of character ✨ I would definitely work with her again.

Mila completely understood what I wanted — to make my apartment feel more spacious, luxurious, and organized, while keeping it minimalistic and utilitarian. Her recommendations transformed the space and gave it character without overwhelming it. I especially appreciated her attention to detail and the way she presented both immediate solutions and ideas for the future.
